The tunnel for the Mattes Fellsattel serves to keep the horse's spine free. The tunnel is available in different sizes, which must be coordinated individually in advance.
The tunnel is included with the purchase of a Mattes Fellsattel however spare ones in various sizes can also be ordered.
There are two different lengths for the tunnel length:
Medium/Cob - for classic models with 54cm saddle length and Western models with 62cm saddle length
Large - for classic models with 62cm saddle length and Western models with 70cm saddle length
